New Delhi: While films fly in and out of the world of Bollywood, only a few make a permanent impact or impression that lasts for years thereafter. One of those could be called Singh Is Kinng. Released in 2008, this film went on to pair Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, who by then were popularly being referred to as a dynamic duo, in no less than a blockbuster combined with a musical treat which even today still echoes unabated in all the parties and clubs.

Singh Is Kinng is a legendary action-comedy film by Anees Bazmee, with Happy Singh being enacted by Akshay Kumar, a carefree, hooligan-sort-of-guy from Punjab who gets embroiled in a series of funny and heartwarming events. Singh Is Kinng has a perfectly zinging plot with just the right kind of ensemble and spontaneous chemistry weaving rounds in between the lead pair of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, which has brought this film a super-duper hit at the box office.

But what made Singh Is Kinng iconic was its music. No wonder, its music by Pritam, in association with the production house of Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd., was a super-duper hit. It had that perfect mix of peppy dance numbers and soulful tracks that just worked with everyone, and so the album was a chart-buster.
